About the Role

As an influential leader who is able to build trusting relationships, you will be responsible for looking after your practices during the transition period and becoming the first point of contact for the practice under business as usual.

Essentially, a key part of the buddy’s role is to introduce, demonstrate, monitor, share best practices, and support the relationship between our head office function and the practice team.

This role supports practices in Central and West London

 Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct purposeful practice visits, varying in style, to promote continuity and follow-up of actions and leaving a footprint that defines the impact of your visit
  • Recognise the uniqueness of each practice and its business model, take time to observe how they work, their patient journey, and what makes them special; continually look for opportunities
  • Be curious, know what the local market is up to, feeding back information to ensure we keep competitive
  • Using your observations and analysis of the sales and KPI data, work with the Shark to develop robust business plans that will enable each practice to reach its sales and EBITDA ambitions
  • Enable the Partners to work effectively by using the tools and resources available to them via HGHQ
  • Have honest conversations, and continually provide (and accept) feedback to enable a healthy business relationship of support and challenge
  • Focus on the engagement within every team, influence the partners (where necessary) on the importance of hiring the right people, onboarding, training, and effective communication, ensuring each team member is ‘happy’
  • Continually drive improvements at HGHQ, ensuring that the themes from partner feedback are heard and actioned
  • Be bold, try new things, and share the successes

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll be a natural communicator, personable and skilled at interacting, influencing, and building trusting relationships at all levels. With a strong ability to prioritise, you can effectively identify and manage urgent and important tasks. Your experience in managing change enables you to support others in navigating transitions seamlessly. As a natural coach, you help others recognise and solve their problems, fostering personal growth. Additionally, your analytical skills allow you to interpret data and trends, providing valuable recommendations and taking appropriate action when needed. A deep understanding of the Optical Industry would be preferred.
