We’re looking for a full-time Experienced Optical Assistant to join us in delivering the kind of personalised, patient-first care we’re known for. You’ll play an important role in helping people see and feel their best, by offering expert advice, guiding them through frame and lens choices, and making sure every fit is as comfortable and accurate as it is stylish.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people, building trust with patients, and being part of a supportive, tight-knit team. You’ll have the time and freedom to do your job properly by providing honest, expert care. Working closely with the rest of the team, you’ll help create a smooth and positive experience for every patient who walks through the door.

As an Experienced Optical Assistant at Memory Opticians, you will:

• Welcome patients as they arrive, providing a friendly, professional first point of contact on the shop floor.

• Supply appropriate eye care solutions, taking into account each patient’s lifestyle, current eye health, and vocational needs.

• Take frame and facial measurements to ensure a comfortable, accurate fit.

• Advise patients on spectacle adjustments, repairs, and suitable frame or lens options.

• Work closely with our dedicated team to deliver exceptional patient care, ensuring every patient leaves feeling confident, comfortable, and well supported.

• Be willing to work across both our practices, helping to provide consistent, high-quality care in both Salisbury and Amesbury.
• You will be expected to work some Saturdays.
