About the Role

We are looking for a part-time Optometrist to join us in delivering outstanding patient care 1-2 days a week.

You’ll play a key role in providing expert advice, fitting a wide range of contact lenses, and delivering ongoing care that makes patients feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.

 

This is a role for someone who values the clinical side of the job, who enjoys building trust with patients from a variety of backgrounds, and who thrives in a team that supports each other. You’ll have the time, tools and autonomy to do your job to a high standard, without feeling rushed or restricted. Collaboration is at the heart of the practice, so you’ll work closely with your teams to ensure a smooth patient journey and a great workplace culture.

 

 

What you'll do:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams with ample time to give each patient your full attention (40 minutes).
  • Work with modern, advanced equipment like our new Optopol Revo OCT
  • Collaborate with our experienced team of 5
  • Educate and engage with patients on the importance of eye health as a key ambassador for our community practice.
  • Enjoy flexible work arrangements, with flexible start or finish due to commute or child care.

Additional Information:

 

  • Our test times are 40 minutes 
  • We are looking for someone 1-2 days per week 
  • We have 2 consulting rooms
  • Our testing equipment includes new Optopol Revo OCT 
  • We are a team of 5
  • We take part in a local community glaucoma scheme 
  • You will have support from our Dispensing Optician and Optical assistants 
  • We can be flexible around your working days, but it would be a big plus if you were willing to work some Saturdays in the future.
