We’re seeking an NHS Contracts & Compliance Manager (Optometry) to oversee NHS contractual compliance across the Hakim Group. This critical role ensures our practices align with NHS regulations, contractual obligations, and clinical governance, delivering safe, high-quality care while supporting long-term success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage NHS GOS contracts across the UK, including applications, variations, and maintenance.
- Serve as the central expert for NHS contractual matters, providing guidance to practices.
- Ensure compliance with NHS regulations and quality assurance schemes.
- Develop and maintain compliance frameworks across the Group.
- Monitor changes to NHS policy and recommend actions.
- Collaborate with Clinical Governance and Operations teams to embed regulatory requirements in operations.
- Offer practical guidance on NHS compliance matters.
This role suits someone with strong regulatory knowledge and a solutions-focused approach, capable of working with complex information and influencing stakeholders.
You'll bring:
• A strong understanding of NHS contracting, ideally within General Ophthalmic Services (GOS), including contract applications, variations, and ongoing management.
• Experience managing or overseeing NHS contractual compliance within optometry or a related healthcare environment.
• Experience working within a multi-site, regional, or national organisation.
• A track record of leading or supporting audits, inspections, regulatory reviews, or compliance programmes.
• Experience developing policies, procedures, compliance frameworks, training materials, and audit processes.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret regulations and apply them practically across a business.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
