About the Role

We’re looking for a Website Designer to join our Digital team at Head Office.

This is a design-led role where you'll help design, build and refine websites for independent opticians across the UK. Working closely with the Website Design Manager, you'll play a key role in improving the quality, consistency and visual experience of every website we deliver. Experience working with a CMS platform such as Webflow, WordPress, Wix or similar is beneficial. While Webflow experience isn't essential, we're looking for someone with a solid understanding of website content management, a strong eye for design, and a willingness to develop their technical skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and build websites across Webflow and other platforms
  • Apply content into pages with strong attention to layout, spacing, and consistency
  • Bring creative input into page structure and visual presentation
  • Carry out detailed QA checks (spelling, layout, links, functionality)
  • Implement feedback from internal teams and clients
  • Support updates and improvements across live websites
  • Assist with preparing websites for go-live, ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Work closely with design, SEO, and project teams to support delivery
  • Keep tasks up to date within internal systems and project boards

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

You'll have:

  • A strong interest in design and digital, with a good eye for layout and presentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies
  • Some experience with website design, content, or digital projects
  • Basic understanding of CMS platforms such as Webflow, WordPress, or similar
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Good written communication and a clear, structured approach to work
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take ownership

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Creative and design-focused, with an interest in improving visual quality
  • Proactive and keen to learn, asking questions and suggesting improvements
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, in-person environment, particularly during onboarding
  • Able to take ownership of tasks and see them through to completion
  • Motivated to develop into a more senior role over time
